Promoting interpersonal intelligence as a method to counter individualism and extremism among young people.
The current social context is highly diversified, from a cultural and religious point of view, which is not always accompanied by processes of inclusion and insertion but, on the contrary, prejudices, fears and stereotypes can hinder the enriching exchange between different cultures. In this plural context, the world of school offers a real possibility for dialogue, especially between the new generations, who can constitute the engine of change, in the sense of acceptance of diversity, respecting people’s values and areas of freedom. Promoting the interpersonal intelligence of children and young people can be an effective method to increase sensitivity in relationships with others, to be able to read and understand the motivations, intentions and desires of others (including religious needs), in order to promote new and adequate social relationships and build tolerance between individuals.
